The Colorado County Appraisal District (CCAD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and was established and centralized by 1982 for the purpose of discovering and appraising property for ad valorem tax purposes for each taxing unit within the boundaries of the district. The appraisal district is governed by a board of directors elected by the local taxing units. The duties and obligations of appraisal districts are set forth by the Texas Property Tax Code.
